Humans, who are born with the basic concept of “Maya” (desires), how can they give up on material and emotional possessions?
Well, not talking on the spiritual angle here… it’s just a plain concept of letting go of things and humans and emotions which no longer serve you. Anything which is needless or useless only becomes an extra burden in life.
How this can help you:
Makes life easier: Tough life is not easy, however, when you try to choose things which are important and add value to your life, and let go of things which make your life complicated, your overall living experience will be peaceful.
More productivity: There is a Japanese concept of 5S which stands for Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain. This is a perfect example of lean thinking and a method for better productivity.
Creates a Balance in mind: We often keep the emotional angle aside and try to become practical. But we cannot ignore our emotional side as we are built by these emotions (this makes us human), so we have to balance our minds with emotions, intellect, practicality, and spirituality. It is a continuous process of self-introspection which takes time but if one is diligent then you can surely have the balance. For this continuous upgrade, you have to add progressive elements and remove the negative elements.
Keeps the negative away: This is the primary element for me, and I guess for everyone. No one wants to stick around with the negative. Identifying what is negative and then removing it from your life is essential to create empty space for positivity. Again, this is a conscious and continuous process but most critical for a happy and contented life.
Improved productivity: Any overly ambitious person is productive, but a holistic life approach teaches us to balance all aspects and be productive in life. Your goals and aims should coexist with family, friends, health, and self-care.
A sorted mind and a happy soul can lead to a successful, contented life.
